The procedure:
The skin of your upper eyelid is anesthetized by local anesthesia.
Then the excess skin and, if necessary, excess fat is removed.
The wound is sutured with an internal suture.
After 6 - 7 days the follow-up is followed and the suture is removed.
Swelling occurs after the procedure.
This is very different.
One patient hardly sees swelling and blue discoloration, the other much swelling.
Normally you can estimate how this reaction will be based on other procedures and injuries.
Drink plenty of water, cool and possibly use it. ibuprofen can promote the entire process in a positive way.
Normally the skin shows swelling in the evening after the operation, which will decrease after 2-3 days.
The blue coloration will certainly take 5 - 7 days, sometimes 2 weeks. This changes from blue to yellow and eventually disappears completely.
