The procedure

The surgery is a relatively small surgical procedure, however with a great result!
The eyelid correction takes place under local anesthesia and lasts about 45-75 minutes. The doctor starts by marking off the excess skin tissue of the eyelid. Then the doctor will stun you locally and the marked piece of skin will be removed. If necessary, excess fat is also removed in the eyelid. After the eyelid correction, the doctor closes the skin by means of a very fine suture. Once the suture is ready, you will get a cooling pack to reduce the swelling.
The local anesthetic makes that you feel nothing of the eyelid correction. It is important that someone is there to drive you home.


How fast can I undergo eyelid surgery?

Result and follow-up

The final result is visible after 3 months when the scar is calm and all swelling has disappeared.
After the procedure, a check-up takes place around 3 - 4 months.
